The renewed objection comes after developers submitted amended plans for the site, changing their approach to a number of designs in order to address the EA’s concerns. Writing to the developers, a spokesperson said the submitted Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) does not “adequately assess the flood risks posed by the development.” They asked for drawings showing any changes to ground level post-development, and baseline and post-development model outputs. The EA also believes the application does not provide enough information on the development’s effect on water voles, despite the developer’s intention to create additional habitats. The statement said: “Suitable areas for water vole need to be created and mature before building commences. "If significant harm resulting from a development cannot be avoided, adequately mitigated or, as a last resort, compensated for, planning permission should be refused.” Read more Bognor Regis foodbank feels the squeeze as cost of living crisis continues ‘Enough is enough’ say councillors and residents at plans for 480 homes on Bognor Regis Golf Club
