An ambulance was called to The Polegrove on Tuesday night after Giles was stretchered off towards the end of Bexhill’s 0-0 draw against Seaford Town looking decidedly unwell.
Giles was taken to The Conquest Hospital in Hastings, where he remained until 5am yesterday (Wednesday) along with the club physio and two team-mates. All four went to work that day as well.

Hide AdSpeaking yesterday afternoon, Bexhill joint manager Ryan Light said: “I’ve spoken to him today and he’s still not 100 percent, but he’s on the mend. He said it was a tightening of his chest really.
“The doctor at the hospital changed his medication, gave him a clean bill of health and said he can resume exercise.”
Light added that Giles even wants to play in the Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One match at home to Billingshurst this coming Saturday.
